Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural compound derived from the cannabis plant that has been used for thousands of years to promote wellness and balance. Today, millions of users across the globe use CBD, as in some cases it may: reduce stress without a "high," promote a sense of calm and wellbeing, soothe aches and discomfort, support healthy immune response, and improve sleep quality.

What is Advanced CBD?

AdvancedCBD is made with the same miracle nanotechnology used in AdvancedTRS, which makes it easier for the body to absorb and use. This means you get increased bioavailability and immediate effects you can "feel," unlike most popular CBD products.

Additionally, Advanced CBD is made from the world’s purest broad-spectrum CBD with Coseva’s pharmaceutical-grade technology, contains 0% THC, and is 100% organic, non-GMO, and heavy metal and toxin free.

What is Hemp Extract?

Hemp extract is a broad term that encompasses many items. The most commonly known are hemp seed oil and CBD products. There are also other extracts such as terpenes which can be extracted from the cannabis plant for use in aromatherapy, cooking, or skincare. Broad-spectrum extracts contain many different cannabinoids that create a synergistic effect within the endocannabinoid system..

What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are a group of fatty compounds found in hemp, cannabis, and other plants.

The most well-known cannabinoid is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), but there is also CBD and CBN which work with the endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) has receptors that cannabinoids bind to. When this happens, it activates the receptors and produces a response within the body.

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a system in the body that is responsible for regulating a number of bodily functions. It is responsible for many things including mood regulation, pain management, appetite control, and immune function.

Cannabinoids bind with this ECS via receptors which are found all over the body including in the brain, spinal cord, and organs. When the cannabinoids attach to these receptors, it activates them and produces a response.

How does Advanced CBD help promote homeostasis in the body?

CBD may in some cases mimic many of the body's natural, healthy processes by interacting in a positive way with endocannabionoid receptors called CB1 and CB2, which are found throughout the body (including the brain), and may assist with healthy immune response, reducing stress-induced cortisol production, soothe aches and discomfort, improve sleep quality, and more.

What are Terpenes and Flavonoids?

Terpenes and flavonoids are a class of organic hydrocarbons found in plants like cannabis that produce fragrant oils. They help protect plants from light stress, air pollution, microbial attack, and environmental damage to DNA by acting as antioxidants.

There are over 200 types of terpene profiles with varying effects such as citrus smells like orange peel or piney smells like fir needles which work together with cannabinoids to produce different experiences.

What is the Entourage Effect?

The entourage effect is a phenomenon where cannabinoids and terpenes work together to produce more nuanced effects than either could on its own. It is a “…hypothesis that a collection of compounds created by the whole marijuana plant interacting together has more impact on a person than anyone compound alone,” states Dr. Ethan Russo.

Terpene profiles that have the same chemical compound may give different results in terms of smell, taste, color, or psychoactive response because they behave differently when combined with other terpenes. Flavonoids also contribute to these effects by supporting cannabinoid absorption into the brain and help control neurotransmitter release at synapses.

What is Broad-Spectrum Versus Full-Spectrum CBD?

Broad-spectrum extracts contain many different cannabinoids such as CBC, CBDV, and CBG which has proven to have a more diverse health benefit than hemp extract with only CBD content alone

Full-spectrum CBD contains both THC and CBD. Some people can feel adverse effects from too much THC in their system.

Broad-spectrum is often recommended for those who do not want to experience these side effects. Cosēva Advanced CBD is a broad-spectrum CBD and third party tested to be 0% THC.

Does Cosēva Advanced CBD contain THC?

Our 0% THC CBD products are tested at several steps of the manufacturing process to ensure undetectable levels of THC. In rare cases, it may be possible to trigger a false positive on a drug test when using 0% THC products due to other cannabinoid metabolites..

What makes Advanced CBD different from other products?
  • Cosēva’s proprietary formulas and nanotechnology processes enhance the natural effects of its ultra-pure lab-grade CBD to each ingredient, ensuring an elevated experience that is:
    • The proprietary nano-emulsion formula is 5-10x more effective than regular CBD
    • Hydrophilic “water-soluble”, mixes well with water and other beverages
    • The hemp used in making our product is organically-grown, using no pesticides.

Each seed is hand-planted in an environment-controlled greenhouse to produce the healthiest plants possible.

• 0% THC, 3rd Party Tested
• Non-GMO, made with the finest organic and natural ingredients.
• Made and Grown in Utah, USA.

What is nano-emulsion, and why does it matter?

Nanoemulsion is a type of emulsification that uses liquid droplets less than 100 nanometers in diameter. This process allows for the creation of an oil-in-water or water-in-oil solution with greater stability, increased solubility, and better bioavailability.

This technique is used by Cosēva to create its nano CBD products that are more easily absorbed into the bloodstream via mucosal tissues such as those found in your mouth, nasal passages, intestines, etc.

Emulsified oils will be broken down and absorbed much faster because they have been formulated to a tiny fraction of their original size. The smaller size means there’s more surface area on which enzymes can work. More surface area is good for virtually anything when it comes to the body. Essentially, the smaller size means your body can process more of the CBD at the same time (and more quickly) than it would with larger CBD particles.

What is a nano-sized particle?

The classic definition is that a particle is considered to be nano-size when it is less than 100 nanometers in size. This definition is a non-limiting functional definition that arose when scientists discovered unique properties in certain materials with nanometer-sized dimensions.

Where is the Hemp used in Advanced CBD grown?

The CBD used in Advanced CBD is grown under highly-controlled conditions in the State of Utah, United States.

How should I store my CBD?

CBD should be stored in a dark, cool place to ensure it does not degrade.

How much CBD should I take?

CBD products work differently for everyone. To find your ideal strength you may need to try different serving sizes and adjust over time. We recommend you start at a low serving size and gradually work your way up until the product is adequate for your need. Spread out the amounts over the day and use the same serving size for several days before making any adjustments.

How should I take Advanced CBD?

Due to its Advanced CBD nano-emulsion formulation, there is no need to hold it under your tongue for a specified time. You can spray it under your tongue or add it to your beverage. Unlike conventional oils, the nano-emulsion is “water-soluble” and readily absorbed in the mouth and digestive tract.

How should I feel when taking CBD?

Everyone is unique and may have a slightly different experience when taking CBD. Daily CBD supplementation can improve one’s sense of well-being by augmenting the endocannabinoid system. This feeling is described as a sense of calm and relief from everyday stress.

When does the product expire?

The best by date of our CBD products is printed on the bottle.

Is Advanced CBD approved by the FDA to cure any illness?

No. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Is Advanced CBD FDA approved?

Advanced CBD has not been evaluated by the FDA.

According to the FDA’s website, they are “currently working to answer questions about the science, safety, and quality of products containing cannabis and cannabis-derived compounds, particularly CBD.”

Should I give Cosēva Advanced CBD to my pet?

Many pet formulas are less potent than Cosēva Advanced CBD, allowing the owner to start with a very low usage rate and increase very gradually. Cosēva Advanced CBD is designed to be potent and fast-acting. As such, we recommend you seek the advice of your veterinarian before administering to your pet.

What extraction process is used?

We use a supercritical CO2 extraction method to produce a clean, solvent-free hemp extract.

Does Cosēva provide 3rd party results?

Yes. All of our products are tested at multiple intervals throughout growth, extraction, and formulation. We provide third-party lab test results (called a Certificate of Analysis) for our concentrated extracts and finished product batches. These test results list cannabinoid and terpene profiles.

Certain jurisdictions and in-country fulfillment companies may charge an amount greater than that charged to you by Coseva. Coseva does not charge for Value Added Taxes (VAT), customs charges or import fees for products shipped outside the United States of America. Those fees and charges may be added on inside your country if you are outside of the United States.
